Room #1 – General Thomas Hindman (3)
The General Thomas Hindman Conference Room is elegantly decorated with silk draperies and antique furnishings. Guests may use this room as a place for dinner parties, receptions, bridal or baby showers, business meetings, etc. The large table will seat 10-12 guests comfortably. Every effort is made to provide the essentials for conducting meetings and trainings successfully. Facilitators for strategic planning are also available upon request. Please contact us for information on these services or accommodations for larger dinner parties. -
Room #2 – General Patrick R. Cleburne (2)
The General Patrick Cleburne includes a spacious sitting area where friends can gather to visit, watch tv, or relax. The sleeping area has two full size beds with pillow top mattresses and is separated from the sitting area with a divider to ensure privacy. Large windows overlook the side yard. A private bath adjoins the room. -
Room #4 - General Daniel Govan (1)
The General Daniel C. Govan room provides two full-size beds in a spacious room on the first floor. The floor to ceiling windows, massive hearth and mantel with mirror, and rich, dark paneling enhance the ambience of the room. A private bath adjoins the room. A scrumptious Southern breakfast is served each morning for the guests as a part of the reservation. -
Room #5 - William A. Short (1)
The William A. Short room is named after the original owner of the home. Cotton was his business and the river was important to his trade. This second floor room faces the river and is located on the front of the home with large windows, a beautiful fireplace, and king size bed. A private bath adjoins the room. The comfortable pillow-top mattress will ensure a relaxing, restful night. -
Room #6 - Charles W. Adams (2)
This second floor suite provides a sitting area with a whimsical touch for relaxing as you watch tv, visit with friends, or read a book. A pillow top king size mattress will provide a restful sleep for our guests. The tall windows look out over an old, spacious magnolia tree. The fireplace mantel, tall windows, and wonderful antiques take you to another time and place as you relax and enjoy your stay at the Edwardian Inn. -
Room #7- Archibald Dobbins (1)
Tucked in the corner of the second floor, you will find the General Archibald S. Dobbins room. A king-size pillow top mattress will provide a restful night's sleep. Antiques adorn the room, along with a large mantel and mirror. A private bath adjoins the room. -
Room #8 – Helena Phillips (2)
The Helena Phillips room, the original housekeeper’s quarters, located on the second floor, is adjacent to a second story outdoor deck where guests can relax and enjoy the fresh air. This private room is cozy with a queen size bed and private bathroom and makes a wonderful "honeymoon getaway". The decor is striking, making any newly married couple feel special. Of course, anyone feeling especially romantic will enjoy this room! -
Room #9 – James C. Tappan (3)
The General James C. Tappan suite has a light and airy feel. This second floor suite has a private bath that at one time was the first "den" in Phillips County. When standing in the circular glassed area one looks out toward the Mississippi River. The main sleeping area has a pillow top, king-size bed facing a wall of beautiful windows. One may experience a beautiful sunrise while lounging in the bed. The fireplace mantel is delicate and reminds one of the old South. The sitting area is just right for visiting with friends or reading a book. -
Room #10 – John Hanks Alexander (1)
The John Hanks Alexander room is named after the second black and first Phillips County graduate of West Point. This large, luxurious room on the second floor has a pillow top king-size bed that everyone will find comfortable and relaxing. A private bathroom adjoins the room. A wall of beautiful windows adds ambiance to the room. This room adjoins the suite next door for those needing more space for friends and family. -
